Responsiblefor setting up rigging for construction projects and/or manufacturing plants
ESSENTIALJOB FUNCTIONS: Promoteand comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures Align, level, andanchor machinery Attach loads to riggingto provide support or prepare them for moving Control movement ofheavy equipment through narrow openings and/or confined spaces Dismantle and storerigging equipment after use. Manipulate rigginglines, hoist, and pulling gear to move or support materials such as heavyequipment Select gear such acables, pulleys and winches according to load weights and sizes Signal or verballydirect workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads in order to ensure safetyof workers and materials Test rigging to ensuresafety and reliability Maintaina professional appearance Otherduties as assigned by Foreman and Superintendent
EDUCATION AND WORKEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Highschool diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred Oneto three years related experience and/or training
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ANDABILITIES REQUIRED: Takereasonable care of your own and others health and safety and of those who maybe affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personalresponsibility for working toward Wanzeks Zero Injury principles Readand interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions, blueprints and procedure manuals Add,subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers,common fractions and decimals Computerate, ratio and percent Rateinformation using standards that can be measured or checked, work withinprecise limits or standards of accuracy, look at flat drawings, pictures and blueprintsand visualize how they would look as solid objects with height, width and depth,see detail in objects or drawings and recognize slight differences in shapes orshadings
