Fire Sprinkler Fitter- Valley Fire Sprinkler

Valley Fire Sprinkler is a leader in the fire sprinkler systems market in Phoenix, Arizona. We have been in business since 2000 and are locally owned and operated. We design and install fire sprinkler systems for both Commercial and/or Residential projects. We are seeking qualified fire sprinkler fitters to join our team.

Job Description:

The Fire Sprinkler Fitter is responsible for the lay out, assemble, installation, and repair of fire sprinkler piping on wet pipe systems, related materials and equipment to the specifications of engineering/design, architectural, and structural blue prints

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret building drawings and designs according to specifications of engineering/design, architectural and structural blue prints.

• Selects type and size of pipe, related materials and equipment (i.e. supports, hangers, specialties, valves, etc.) for lay outs and installation.

• Performs cutting, jointing, assembly of CPVC piping and compatible products.

• Knowledge in performing quarterly/annual inspections on residential and commercial

• properties/projects.

• Ability to coordinate and schedule with other trades.

• Complete required paperwork/reports on each job including: daily time, progress, duration, of record parts, material, labor, subs, returns and other cost data per assignment and other duties as assigned. • Must know NFPA 13D and 13R Code.

• Train and Mentor Valley Fire Sprinkler Apprentices

• Other Duties as assigned

• In State travel, with possible overnight stay, for job completion.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age

• Flexible schedule with ability to work nights and weekends, or as needed

• Travels to work sites within Arizona with possible overnight stay

• Ability to read engineer/design, architectural and structural blue prints

• Ability to work at heights/ladders and lift and handle up to 75 pounds

• Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions (i.e. climbing ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment, working in ducts, crawl spaces above ceilings, etc.)

• Ability to work in changing weather conditions

• Adhere to quality and Company and OSHA safety requirements and standards

• Possess a Valid driver's License and Safe driving record that meets Company requirements

• Successful completion of a pre-employment background and Drug test

• Strong communication skills - verbal and written using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers and co-workers

• Strong organizational skills with little or no supervision with a 'positive attitude'

• Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must have 2 -5 years of verifiable Fire Sprinkler experience

Preferred:

• Residential Experience
