We are looking to hire a VP or Director into our Structured Trade & Commodity Team in our Global Trade Finance Department to build and grow our new Latin American business. The new hire will be expected to manage relationship-focused activities with commodity traders and other commodity related companies. They will be primarily exposed to the commodity sectors as well as to a variety of financial and trade finance products. They will balance time between origination as well as execution efforts. Furthermore, the individual will lead the work on credit matters including underwriting, financial research and analysis. Also, they will consistently be involved in business, industry and capital markets research activities. Additionally, they will guide and support junior staff and assist in strategic client and product development. Responsibilities - Origination and structuring activities for Structured Trade Finance solutions with Latam clients, including client relationship management - Identify business opportunities from Global and US commodity traders- Independently prepare marketing, pitch materials and term sheets- Actively lead on execution for all transactions- Coordinate the credit application and documentation process including research and analysis- Proactively engage with key stakeholders to ensure proper and timely closing of transactions- Establish and maintain close internal contacts with other coverage and product areas, including credit, legal, operations and compliance.- Assist group head in specific projects- Mentor and guide junior staff specific to credit analysis and administrative tasks- Participate in global coordination and alignment efforts Qualifications - Minimum 7+ years of direct work experience in Commodity and/or Trade Finance in the Latam region, especially Brazil.- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Business required. MBA or Master's Degree a plus.- Strong Trade Finance and Commodities product knowledge- Solid background in the banking industry - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for consensus-building among key stakeholders- Strong financial and industry analysis focus- High level of integrity with strong work ethic- Driven, self-motivated, and teamwork-oriented- Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills would be strongly preferred Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
