The primary responsibilities of this role, are to:
Perform facility maintenance including all aspectsof building structure and utilities;
Process work requests and other data through theComputerized Maintenance Management System;
Perform utilities maintenance including all aspectsof electrical power system, lighting system, Heating &Ventilation, Air Conditioning system, and electrical controls onwaste treatment etc;
Repair equipment and solve facility problems. Trainothers with less technical knowledge on his/her own area ofexpertise;
Work with Corporate and IT departments on settlingissues with our alarms and phone systems;
Understands and complies with Bayer Safetyguidelines and housekeeping practices, training and wearsappropriate Personal Protective Equipment. Wire and run electricconduit for equipment;
Read and interpret blue prints and sketchelectrical control drawings including Programmable LogicControls;
Ability to come up with creative solutions tomodify or retrofit electrical controls. Comply with buildingelectrical code, and safety related regulations on electricalequipment;
Guide Maintenance Technicians on electrical safety.Repair equipment with no instructions and just based onmanufacturers manuals;
Ability to use various electrical and mechanicalmeasurement devices including micrometers, depth gauges, feelergauges, dial gauges, voltmeter, etc;
While performing the duties of the job, theemployee is regularly required to stand, reach with hands and arms,in addition employee frequently is required towalk;
Must be able to use hands/fingers to handle orfeel;
Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, orcrawl.

Minimum 5 years related experience and training,preferably in industrial electrical maintenance;
Minimum of a High School Diploma orGED;
Certified Electrician in the state ofCalifornia;
Excellent communication skills, both written andverbal (English);
Computer skills in Microsoft Word andExcel;
Knowledge of low and medium voltage systems andfamiliarity with high voltage systems;
Knowledge of Electrical Safety Standards such as USOSHA Law; NFPA 70E; National Electrical Code (NEC);IEEE.
